It has been announced by Companies House as part of measures aimed at supporting companies following the Coronavirus pandemic, that they have automatically extended the submission deadline for a number of important statutory filing events, which significantly, includes the submission of company accounts.
As of 27 June 2020, all late filing deadlines are automatically extended until 5 April 2021. For example, a company with a 31 March 2020 year end, would usually have a submission deadline of 31 December 2020, but this has now been extended to 31 March 2021.
You can find details of your own company’s new filing deadline on the Companies House website.
Other significant extensions include increasing the deadline for Confirmation Statements and other event-driven filing deadlines from 14 days to 42 days.
