A Mighty Effort: Plus Accounting’s 26-Mile South Coast Hike for Macmillan

On Saturday (8 June), eight members of the Plus Accounting team completed the 2024 South Coast Mighty Hike to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Pictured from left to right (above), Jake Standing, Conor Etherden, Sam Baldwin, Amber Theobald, Becky Merchant, Laurel Giles, Peter Hedgethorne and Michelle Baldwin walked a huge 26 miles from Brighton to Eastbourne.

As part of the first wave, the team began their challenging hike at 7am at Brighton Racecourse. The route followed the South Downs Way to Alfriston, then passed through Littlington and Exceat before the dreaded Seven Sisters and Beachy Head, finally reaching the finish line at Helen Gardens in Eastbourne.

They have impressively reached their £2,000 fundraising target for Macmillan across multiple pages, and there’s still time to contribute if you would like to make a donation here.

Macmillan Cancer Support helps everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws their way, Macmillan is right there with them every step of the way.

A tremendous effort from you all for such a good cause!
