From now until Summer 2025, Jake and his partner Hannah are going to be clocking up 15 million steps to raise money for a couple of charities that have become especially close to their hearts.
At the start of February 2023, their lives changed significantly. After a number of months having infection after infection, and being in and out of school, their 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukaemia.
They are now raising money for Rockinghorse, the Royal Alexandra Children’s hospital charity, and Young Lives vs Cancer because as Jake and Hannah describe “alongside the amazing NHS team, they are incredible, and we wouldn’t be where we are without them”.
Although Jake and Hannah believe no amount of fundraising will be able to make up for what they have collectively given them back, they are determined to be able to support other families going through the same horrors in the future.
Jake and Hannah have set an initial fundraising target of £2,000, and their progress is already truly impressive! With the support of 34 supporters so far they have already achieved an outstanding 92% of their initial target.
Any support to them, be it by way of encouraging messages, walking or running with them over the next 2 years, or donating money, will be hugely appreciated by Jake, Hannah and the brilliant charities they are fundraising for!
