Have you checked out Xero’s new Executive Summary Report, which is now available to all?
This provides a comparison on previous periods, of your choice, of your cash and bank balances, profitability, balance sheet, sales, overall performance, debtors and creditor days, with a short term cash forecast. All in one Report.
You can customise the Report and hide any rows using a filter, depending on what and who the Report is for. The Report is easily located under the financial performance section under Reports.
From the Report below you can view figures that are based on the months of July and August 2022, but you can expand on these.
To the right are the variances, this is where you can see clearly see the changes happening within your company data on the chosen periods.
Under the Profitability heading you can see the expenses in July were much higher which explains the lower profit for that month.
Under the Position heading you can see the debtor days have increased, so maybe some action is needed within your credit control process.
Overall, this Report gives you a quick insight into how your company is performing.
